What do you need to know about EU cohesion policy?

The Empowering communities on EU cohesion policies (EmpowerHun) project aims to inform Hungarian citizens about the EU's cohesion policy, focusing on economic development, ecological and digital transitions in Hungary and in the Central and Eastern European countries. It also strives to raise public awareness about the cohesion policy's impact by enhancing quality journalism at regional and local levels. Ultimately, the EmpowerHun project seeks to foster long-term, sustainable understanding of EU policies among journalists and Hungarian citizens.

BI works under the lead of Magyar Újságírók Országos Szövetsége (MÚOSZ) as a project partner and is commissioned: i) to map, collect and share project-level data on the use of EU cohesions funds and ii) to support journalists participating in the project with data- and evidence-driven thematic factsheets.
