Expected effects of regulatory changes on the Hungarian textbook market

The project aims to survey the theoretical models that best describe the textbook market. Based on the theory and the relevant experience of other countries we outline which elements of the recent legislative changes affecting the Hungarian textbook market can be expected to strengthen welfare improving competition and which of them might raise concerns about cartel formation or other inefficient market behavior. The project is funded by the Competition Culture Centre of the Hungarian Competition Authority.
