Types of political influence in local governance – international and domestic experiences

How can the different forms of political favouritism be classified? Can their impact be quantified? What risks are involved?

The aim of our project is to draw on theoretical and empirical research to map the different types of political favouritism or influence occurring at the level of local government; to identify instances of this phenomenon in Hungary; and to assess what data and databases are available in Hungary to estimate the quantifiable consequences and impacts of political favouritism.
