Feasibility study of the impact assessment of the START wage-subsidy programmes

The "START Plusz" and "START Extra" programmes provide social security contribution credit to employers of individuals whose employment chances are likely to be below-average. Such subsidies are of great importance: they can lessen the information asymetry between employers and employees and also support an initial training period for those more detached from the labour market.

The large sum of allocated funds warrant the need for in-depth analysis of the program using modern econometric methodology. The task of the Institute is to look at the feasibility of such an analysis using administrative data.

The study summarising the end result of the project is downloadable from the bottom of this page in Hungarian, with an abstract in English.
