The budgetary effects of a hypothetical health intervention

The Budapest Institute simulates the estimated budgetary effects of a hypothetical health intervention. The intervention is designed for people with musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) and it is expected to delay disability. We show that disability decreases the probability of employment and we simulate the potential budgetary benefits (taxes and contributions, lower probability of subsidies) of maintained working ability.
