BI is seeking to hire an analyst / junior analyst

The junior analyst will be expected to contribute to research and evaluation projects under the supervision of a senior researcher. The analyst will manage smaller projects independently, and will help the work of the senior researcher as a coordinator in larger projects. They will contribute to writing reports, literature reviews, desktop research and data visualisation, prepare grant proposals and bids, and other qualitative and quantitative research tasks and administration. The analyst will represent the Budapest Institute to external partners together with the senior researcher, and will be involved in decisions related to his/her field of expertise. 

Qualification and skill requirements: a social science degree, relevant international experience (studies or work), English proficiency, writing skills, independence, reliability. For analysts: some years of experience in project management. We are looking for candidates who actively support the mission of the Budapest Institute.

Additional skills are appreciated: a firm understanding and interest in microeconomics, labour economics, political economy, and/or welfare policy relevant work experience, experience in project management, working with Stata (or other statistical software), basic econometrics training, and advanced language skills, especially in Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Polish or Romanian.

Working time and salary to be negotiated. The initial offer will be for a fixed term contract which will be reviewed and possibly extended after 12 months.
