Between 2023 and 2026, the Budapest Institute investigated various forms of discrimination against Roma people in Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Spain as part of the international EqualStrength research project. The research was conducted in accordance with strict ethical principles (Ethics approval number: ELTE PPK 2023/418), one of the final requirements of which is to provide participants with a information about the project (debriefing).

As part of the research, we contacted nurseries (2024), employers (2025–2026), and landlords (2025) that had publicly posted information about available nursery places, job vacancies, or rental properties. It is therefore possible that your organization or institution received an inquiry whose true research purpose was not disclosed to you at the time.
