The workshop explores current practice and future government plans concerning social services and public works programmes targeting the long term unemployed in the Czech and Slovak Republics and Hungary.

The event is jointly organised by the Committee of Human Resource Economics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the Budapest Institute and is sponsored by the Open Society Institute.
